Cookie Policy

What we actually use, right now

Honestly and specifically, not a generic list: today, this site and the Between Us app use two kinds of cookies, both strictly necessary for the service to work at all — meaning they don't require your consent under UK cookie law, though we still want to be upfront about them.

  • A session cookie, set only once you log in to the app, which keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it, you'd be asked to log in again on every click.
  • A security check cookie (from Cloudflare Turnstile), used only on the sign-up form, to help tell a real person from an automated bot. It doesn't track you across other sites.

Neither of these is used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building a profile of you. We don't currently run analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

If that ever changes

If we add anything beyond the essentials above — for example, anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used, or a referral-tracking cookie for a program we've publicly announced — it will only be set if you've accepted cookies using the banner on this site. You can change your answer at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, which will show you the choice again.

Your choice, and what it does

Rejecting non-essential cookies never affects your ability to use this marketing site or the app — since the only cookies currently in use are the strictly necessary ones described above, which apply regardless. Your accept/reject choice is stored on your own device (in your browser's local storage), not sent anywhere, and only controls whether any future optional cookies get set.

Questions

If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us through the Help & Support section inside the app once you're signed in.
